Govardhan Puja 2026
Both, depending on the temple. Banke Bihari Mandir keeps Annakoot and Govardhan Pooja on Monday 9 November. ISKCON Vrindavan keeps Govardhan Puja on Tuesday 10 November. Each temple publishes its own day on its own site, and both are below with the page they came from.
This is not a mistake to fix. If you are walking to one temple, the day you want is that temple’s day.
Monday 9 November
Banke Bihari Mandir keeps Annakoot and Govardhan Pooja on Kartik Shukla Pratipada. ISKCON Vrindavan keeps Govardhan Puja the next day, so check which temple you are walking to.

Tuesday 10 November
The day Krishna lifted Govardhan on the little finger of his left hand and held it seven days, sheltering the people of Vraja and their cows from Indra's rain. Kept also as Go Puja, for the cows, and as Annakuta, a mountain of food cooked and offered to him.
ISKCON Vrindavan, its own festival page, checked 2026-11-02
Banke Bihari Mandir names the tithi on its own list, Kartik Shukla Pratipada, and says ISKCON Vrindavan keeps the day after. ISKCON Vrindavan’s own page gives the day without naming a tithi. Neither temple explains the difference, so this page does not explain it either. It shows what each one published.
Kartik Utsav runs 26 October to 24 November 2026 as Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, official website publishes it, checked 2026-11-02. Every day a temple has posted for this month is listed on the home page, each one linked to the temple that published it.
